What counts
A scan is counted each time someone opens the short link of a dynamic code, by scanning it or by following the link.
What is not counted
- Link previews and bots, such as WhatsApp or Facebook fetching a preview when the link is shared. The code's page shows how many there were.
- Opening the code again from the same phone and browser within 10 minutes.
- Visits through the code's test link.
- Visits stopped by an access rule: a paused code, a date outside its schedule, a blocked country, the daily limit reached, or a password not yet entered.
- Scans of static codes: the phone reads them without going online.
Approximate unique visitors
Each day, visits from the same address with the same browser count as one visitor. It is an estimate: people on the same Wi-Fi network with the same phone model and browser count as one, and one person using two browsers counts as two.
Days and limits
Days run from midnight to midnight in the organization's time zone, for the daily chart and for the daily scan limit. The daily limit counts people only, not bots.
