Questions people ask
Is it really free?
Yes. Static codes made on this page are free, without an account and without a mark of ours on the code. Scans of a static code do not pass through qrme.to, so nothing limits them.
Does the code expire?
A static code never expires: its content is printed into the pattern. A changeable code works for as long as its short link is active, and you decide that from your account.
Does it work without the internet?
A static code for Wi-Fi, a contact card or a text is read by the phone alone, with no connection. A code that opens a website, and every changeable code, needs a connection when it is scanned.
How small can I print it?
A common rule of thumb: make the code about a tenth as wide as the distance it is scanned from, so about 30 cm for a poster read from 3 m. Keep a dark code on a light background with a clear margin, and test a printed proof with a few phones first. Downloading and printing
Which file do I give the printer?
SVG or PDF: they are vector files that stay sharp at any size. PNG is for screens and documents.
Can I put my logo in the middle?
Yes. The modules behind the logo are cleared and error correction is raised, so the code keeps scanning. If the content is too long for a logo, the page tells you and draws the code without it.
Do you keep what I type?
No. A code made on this page is drawn for you and not stored: no content, no file, no image. Only a count of requests per network is kept for a short time, to limit abuse. Privacy notice
